Ursprünglich war "We'll Sail Away" eine Einschlafmelodie, welche Guntmar früher seinen kleinen Töchtern abends auf der Gitarre vorspielte. Zu der Zeit arbeitete er zusammen mit dem Musiker Eric Richards (GB) und dem Sänger Chris Cassidy (IRL) in der Formation "For Everyman", einem Acoustic-Trio, das neben vielen Coversongs auch eigene Stücke spielte. "We'll Sail Away" ist eine trostspendende Ballade für die Momente, in denen man Halt benötigt und nicht allein sein möchte.
